Program Overview

The University of Windsor delivers many exceptional and unique programs in all areas of the fine and performing arts. The School of Dramatic Art is nationally recognized for its innovative curricula and instruction, with professionally oriented programs; and the School of Music, particularly its Music Therapy program, is nationally recognized for excellence. Other programs are offered through the School of Visual Arts, the Department of Communication, Media & Film, and the Department of English. Excellent faculty and easy access to professors make UWindsor a great place to study.

Dramatic Art - The BFA Acting program is recognized as one of the leading acting training schools in the country. The Drama in Education & Community is also highly regarded
Music - Music Therapy has a unique six-month, full-time internship opportunity. It is the only program in Canada approved by both the Canadian and American music therapy associations
Visual Art - All students begin with a common first-year which includes a balance of studio and art history courses, and use both traditional media and modern digital facilities

Buildings & Facilities

The School of Dramatic Art is located in the state-of-the-art Jackman Dramatic Art Centre that comprises four spacious classrooms, a studio theatre, faculty offices, a student lounge and change rooms.

The School of Visual Arts occupies the LeBel Building, a spacious facility that houses a student run gallery, a printmaking studio, as well as a sculpture studio, digital lab and darkroom.

The School of Music occupies its own recently-renovated building and offers students rehearsal space, electronic piano and computer labs, and recital hall with superb musical acoustics for the best in performances.
