Program Overview

The University of Winnipeg's (UW) Faculty of Science offers 3-year, 4-year, and Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees within Anthropology, Applied Computer Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Biopsychology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Geography, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics. UW's exceptional science courses and associated labs provide students with valuable hands-on experience, as well as the opportunity to work cooperatively in a group setting. UW's science programs also offer excellent training for entry into a wide variety of professions.

Highlights

The construction of a state-of-the-art Science Complex and Richardson College for the Environment, expected to open in Fall 2011, will enhance Science education and research
Students have the opportunity to interact closely with committed, experienced and skilled faculty, many of whom are world-class researchers at the forefront of their respective fields

Buildings & Facilities

UW is proud to offer exceptional facilities for students in the Faculty of Science. The Faculty's numerous laboratories provide students with access to an extensive range of equipment. Opportunities for science education and research will be further enhanced upon completion of the Science Complex and Richardson College for the Environment, scheduled to open in the fall of 2011. As part of UW's commitment to sustainability, the new complex will be a model of green building technology and energy efficiency. The complex will feature innovative science programming, and an interactive, community-centered approach to education.
