Founded in 1802, Saint Mary's University is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research. The university boasts the largest faculty of arts in Nova Scotia and a research-intensive faculty of science. The Sobey School of Business is highly respected in Canada and the world. St. Mary's also offers a number of interdisciplinary and preprofessional programs.
The university aims to produce globally-minded students. To this end, it offers exchange programs with schools in Australia, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Uganda, and the Circumpolar Region.
