Institute Overview |
Rocky Mountain College (RMC) is a multi denominational Christian College in Calgary, Alberta. It was formed in 1992, and offers a number of one, two, three, and four year programs in Christian Leadership, Religious Studies, Theatre Arts, Music, Theology, Leadership Development and Human Services. The College endorses an Evangelical faith, and students are expected to practice their faith daily, and live by Christian values. Students are also encouraged to attend local churches, become involved with the local community, and to get involved in College events. The College is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).

Location and Facilities |
Rocky Mountain College is situated in Calgary, the largest city in Alberta. Calgary boasts a booming economy, and great employment, recreational and educational opportunities. The city is located approximately an hour and 20 minutes drive from the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
Approximately one million people call Calgary home. The city is world famous for its annual festivals, particularly the Calgary Stampede, The Banff-Calgary International Writers Festival and Carifest, the second largest Caribbean festival in Canada.
Rocky Mountain College has many amenities on campus, including references, a library, a games room, a coffee shop, and athletic facilities which are situated a short C- train ride from the main campus. Students also have the opportunity to use University of Calgary facilities.

Admission Criteria |
Enrollment criteria: The standard enrollment criteria for a given student:
• Application for Admission Form
• Application fee of $50 ($75 for late applications)
• Autobiographical Profile Form
• RMC Community Responsibilities Form
• Confidential Personal Health form
• Transcripts: Applicants currently in high school or in a post secondary institution are requested to send an interim grade report, or unofficial transcript for preliminary admission, but official transcripts are needed as soon as possible. Students should have a high school GPA of at least 60%, transfer students should have a C grade average. A percentage of students each year will be accepted without a high school diploma
• Two Confidential Personal References: One reference must be completed by a Pastor, Elder or Youth Sponsor; the other by a mature Christian who cannot be a family member or spouse). References should be mailed/faxed to RMC directly
• TOEFL Scores if applicable (550, 213 or 83 for paper, computer and Internet tests respectively)
• Students should also supply the following if it is applicable: Residence application and deposit, Music Program Entrance Application form and Theatre Arts application form

Financial Aid |
Limited student financial aid is available through RMC from funds generously donated for this purpose. Prior to each semester students may apply for financial aid using the Financial Aid application forms, available from the student accounts office. These grants are disbursed through the year and are based on need. In most cases, eligibility is limited to students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours.
Students have access to a range of bursaries, student assistance and scholarships in addition to Canadian student loans. Rocky Mountain College has been approved by The United States Department of Education for the purposes of the Guaranteed Student Loan Program for Federal Stafford Loans.
